Modeling "quisiera"

Julieta Venegas - Andar Conmigo

I've used this song for the repetition and context of "quisieras andar conmigo" because I have a chapter that I teach that introduces "frases de deseo", of which quisiera (would like) is included. However, this song also employs a good number of pronouns, two forms of tanto/a(s), as well as positive informal commands with a clitic pronoun.

I've done a follow-up acitivity where, as a class, we write a "response" verse in the first person, pretending to be the man she is singing to, i.e. "Sí, quisiera andar contigo...".  This is in order to model the first person singular construction.  This is possibly the most confusing form of the verb, because by analogy students want the form to be *quisiero.
